This is my favorite movie (in general) of all time. I know there are cases to be made for others but this is just my favorite for a variety of reasons. I hope you all are doing well. 0:15 as soon as the machine said 23 years I started tearing up.
Cooper: Now that I know the station isn"t named after me, would you care to hear my story of exactly how I got here? Doctor: Shrugs. Sure. The nurse acts somewhat intrigued, too. Cooper: So about 89 years ago in Earth time, I left for the mission. The hibernation to Saturn was 2 years, which is where the wormhole is and still is. We decided to go to Miller"s Planet. It was a disaster and cost us 23 Earth years even though me and the crew were there only a short time. Then we went to Mann"s Planet. The famous Dr. Mann turned out to be a cowardly traitor that intended to kill me and my crew and take the Endurance back to Earth. And because of his attempt to steal the ship, he destroyed The Endurance. As a result, it went towards a black hole I call Gargantua. Me and my partner Brand were the only ones left on the mission still alive. We pulled the ship away from it, which we estimated would cost us 51 Earth years. So while we were pulling away from it, you and your parents, and maybe even grandparents were being born. Brand went on to Edmond"s Planet and I decided to sacrifice myself to the black hole along with my robot TARS to find out the truth. Instead of being killed, I landed in a grid full of cubbyholes and saw my daughter as a little girl in her bedroom right before I left for the mission. She always talked about a ghost that was knocking things down and talking to her. After the disaster of what I went through, I was trying to tell myself not to go. But realizing this all happened in the past and could not be changed, I took charge and sent myself the coordinates to NASA, so I sent myself on the mission. Then I gave the quantum data of the black hole to a wristwatch I gave Murph before I left. Right after I did, the cubbyholes closed up and now I woke up to find myself here in a hospital bed and told my daughter did all of this. Nurse: Stunned and silent for a few seconds. Oh my God! For so many years Mrs. Cooper told stories about a ghost in her bedroom and it being her father helping her out. Doctor! She was telling the truth! Nobody has ever believed her! Why shouldn"t they now? Look! Her own father is here in the hospital the same age as when he left, yet, we"re treating him like he"s just another patient! Doctor: Okay, calm down! Nobody has to know this! It"s okay. Mr. Cooper, just get some rest. Our mayor has a nice surprise for you! Cooper: befuddled*> Thank you.
If you rent the HD version and broadcast it to your television you will be very satisfied. So much of this movie I remembered and so much I had forgotten. The artistry of Ridley Scott creating a world of the future and a world of decay along with the poignant story of the discovery that humanity may be different from what we expect. well I am a fan.
Words can"t put into context how much I love this soundtrack. Listening to this always makes me want to watch interstellar for the 57th time. MAKE HIM STAY MURPH SCENE PLZ PLZ PLZ. This movie is the only movie WORTH COMPARABLE to 2001: a space Odyssey. 2020 and this is still being my favorite movie of all time.
Two possibilities exist: either we are alone in the Universe or we are not. Both are equally terrifying - Arthur Clacke. Here during Quarantine again. And I"m addicted to this soundtrack more than ever. Based in the year 2019. I am very disappointed in reality now. damn. Merry Christmas to you All! Dave. Whenever i want to cry i just watch this, cannot hold it for some reason. I got a saying for whenever I decide the newest Hollywood space and science movie is crap. “Interstellar did it better”. I"m gonna have a word with the CEO of onions. Great job, but it"s missing one of th best shots in the movie, in the cornfield. Brain: It"s not possible to learn a whole semester"s worth of topics in one night... Me: No, it"s necessary. Who else came here right after watching 2 Hamsters initiate the docking sequence.
I"ve been transmitting on every wavelength but nothing is getting out When they found Cooper, TARS already had burnt out his battery. He was basically shouting as loud as he could for as long as he could. Gg,TARS. Teens having sex for the first time and nervous, the girl be like wat u goin, boy docking. This soundtrack is not possible, it"s necessary. I saw interstellar as a freshman in highschool. we watched it in my biology class and although everyone was just goofing around, and it was a sci-fi, the pure imagination of cosmic science and mathematics made me feel so interested and sucked into loving these subjects. i spent much of my highschool years skateboarding and working on cars, afraid to just nerd out on things like math, science, space, physics, etc. but here I am now, a college freshman in the school of engineering studying mechanical engineering, and again, although its a sci fi movie, the thought of human advancement in technology and mechanics and space all have a huge place in my heart. not sure who"s going to see this, or care, but just thought i"d share for my fellow nerds on this one.
Whenever i saw this movie, Ist i doesn"t bore me And important, it makes me realize why I"m not working for my destiny ??. It took days for me to handle this scene. Imagine that impact 23 yrs gone within hours... Since the movie was released from now it has been 53 minutes in Miller planet... This movie will be a classic in a couple of decades, mark my words.
